Indications
ANTAZOL 0.1% Nasal Drop is used for:
Sinusitis, Nasal congestion, Seasonal & perennial allergic rhinitis
Adult Dose
Adults: Nasal drop: 2 or 3 drops adult formula (0.1%) 2-3 times daily.
Nasal spray: 2-3 sprays each nostril 3 times daily.

Contra Indications
Contraindicated in patients with a known hypersensitivity to any ingredients of the preparation.
Precautions
The prolonged use or abuse of decongestants in general may lead to rebound congestion or drug induced rhinitis.
Pregnancy-Lactation
Interactions
Increased heart rate or BP with sibutramine.
Potentially Fatal: Hypertensive crisis with MAOIs.
Adverse Effects
Side effects of Xylometazoline Hydrochloride 0.1% Nasal prep :
Anxiety,Dizzy,Tremor,Overuse may cause rebound congestion,Topical products may cause local side effects such as nasal burning, stinging, dryness.
Mechanism of Action
Xylometazoline is a direct-acting sympathomimetic which has a vasoconstrictor effect by reducing swelling and congestion when applied to mucous membranes.
