Indications
Bentin Cream is used for:
Skin fungal infections.
Adult Dose
Adult: Topical As 1% cream: For tinea pedis: Apply twice daily for 7 days. not to exceed 4 weeks
For tinea corporis, tinea cruris and tinea versicolor: Apply once/twice daily for 2 wk. not to exceed 4 weeks
Child Dose
<12 years old: Safety & efficacy not established
>12 years old: As in adults

Contra Indications
Application to eye area.
Precautions
Avoid occlusive dressings. Avoid contact with mouth, eyes and other mucous membranes. Affected areas should be thoroughly cleansed with soap and dried prior to application. Hands should always be washed after applying cream.
Lactation: excretion in milk unknown; use with caution

Mechanism of Action
Butenafine, a benzylamine antifungal, inhibits the enzyme squalene monooxygenase thus decreasing sterol biosynthesis.
