Indications
Clobenate G Ointment is used for:
Inflammatory Skin infections, Corticosteriod-responsive dermatoses w/ secondary infection
Adult Dose
Topical/Cutaneous
Inflammatory Skin infections, Corticosteroid-responsive dermatoses
Adult: Cream/Oint: Apply gently to the affected area 2-3 times daily.
Child Dose
Topical/Cutaneous
Inflammatory Skin infections, Corticosteroid-responsive dermatoses
Child > 12 yrs: Cream/Oint: Apply gently to the affected area 2-3 times daily.
Renal Dose

Contra Indications
Childn <12 yrs. Long-term treatment of ulcerative conditions, rosacea, pruritus; presence of acute infections. Hypersensitivity.
Precautions
Heart failure, recent myocardial infarction, hypertension; diabetes mellitus; epilepsy; glaucoma; hypothyroidism; hepatic failure, renal impairment; psychoses; childn and elderly. Should not enter eyes.

Side effects of Clobetasol + Gentamicin Topical :
Perioral dermatitis, striae esp in flexures. Dermal and epidermal atrophy esp on the face, steroid purpura, erythema, pruritus, photosensitivity
Mechanism of Action
Clobetasol is a very potent corticosteroid used in short-term treatment of various inflammatory skin conditions.
Gentamicin interferes w/ bacterial protein synthesis by binding to 30S and 50S ribosomal subunits resulting in a defective bacterial cell membrane.
