Adverse Effects
Side effects of Clotrimazole + Beclomethasone Topical :
Loss of skin collagen and SC atrophy; local hypopigmentation of deeply pigmented skin; dryness, erythema, stinging, irritation; hypersensitivity reactions; contact dermatitis.
Mechanism of Action
Beclometasone controls the rate of protein synthesis, depresses the migration of polymorphonuclear leukocytes, fibroblasts, reverses capillary permeability and lysosomal stabilisation at the cellular level to prevent or control inflammation.
Clotrimazole is a broad-spectrum antifungal which binds to phospholipids in the cell membrane altering cell wall permeability causing a loss in essential intracellular elements.
