Indications

Cromal Eye Drop is used for: Allergic rhinitis, Allergic conjuntivitis

Adult Dose

For eyes: Adult: 1 to 2 drops into each eye 2 to 3 times daily. For nose: Adult: 1-2 drop to each nostril 2 to 4 times daily.

Child Dose

For eyes: Child: 1 to 2 drops into each eye 2 to 3 times daily. For nose: Child: 1-2 drop to each nostril 2 to 4 times daily.

Contra Indications

This drop is contraindicated in patient with hypersensitivity to Sodium Cromoglicate .

Precautions

As this drop contains benzalkonium chloride, patients should not wear contact lenses during treatment with this drop.

Adverse Effects

Side effects of Sodium Cromoglycate 2% Eye/Nasal prep : Intranasal use: Transient irritation of nasal mucosa. Sneezing and epistaxis (occasional). Eye drops: Transient burning and stinging.

Mechanism of Action

Sodium Cromoglycate inhibits degranulation of mast cells and therefore suppresses the release of histamine, leukotrienes and slow-reacting substance of anaphylaxis.
