Emosil Cream is used for:
Used as a moisturizer to treat or prevent dry, rough, scaly, itchy skin and minor skin irritations (e.g., diaper rash, skin burns from radiation therapy).

Side effects of Propylene Glycol Topical :
Most emollients can be used safely and effectively with no side effects. However, burning, stinging, redness, or irritation may occur.
Mechanism of Action
Propylene glycol and polypropylene glycols attract water and function as a humectant; found in moisturizers to enhance the appearance of skin by reducing flaking and restoring suppleness. Propylene glycol is one of the most widely used ingredients in cosmetics and personal care products, where it also serves as a viscosity decreasing agent, solvent and fragrance ingredient.
