Indications

Meftal Spas Drop is used for: Abdominal pain & cramping in irritable bowel syndrome

Adult 1 tab 3 times daily

Contra Indications

Hypersensitivity. This medication must not be used in children younger than 6 months old and in women who are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Precautions

Caution to use in history of glaucoma, enlarged prostate, urination problems, high blood pressure, nervous system problems, myasthenia gravis, liver, heart, thyroid, intestinal or kidney problems.

Side effects of Dicyclomine + Mefenamic Acid : Dizziness, weakness, dry eyes, blurred vision, dry mouth and abdominal bloating, and, at higher doses, serious effects like decreased sweating, flushed skin, irregular heartbeat, slurred speech, loss of coordination, mood changes, difficulty urinating and decreased sexual ability

Mechanism of Action

Anticholinergic/antispasmodic; direct smooth muscle relaxant effects; blocks the action of ACh at parasympathetic sites in smooth muscle, secretory glands, and CNS
