Mechanism of Action
Chlorpheniramine is an antiallergic which blocks the action of certain chemical messengers responsible for red, itchy, teary eyes. Naphazoline is a decongestant which narrows the blood vessels of the eye to relieve inflammation (redness and swelling). Zinc sulphate monohydrate and boric acid are antiseptics which treat bacterial infection in the eyes and relieve irritation.
