Indications

Ocupol Eye Drop is used for: Allergic conjunctivitis, squamous blepharitis, iritis, uveitis, scleritis, keratitis & pre/post-operatively.

Adult Dose

Ophthalmic Adult: Eye drop Apply 1-2 drops 2-3 times daily.

Mechanism of Action

Polymyxin B alters permeability of cell membranes, which in turn causes intracellular products to leak Chloramphenicol inhibits bacterial protein synthesis by binding to 50s subunit of the bacterial ribosome, thus preventing peptide bond formation by peptidyl transferase. It has both bacteriostatic and bactericidal action against H. influenzae, N. meningitidis and S. pneumoniae.
