Indications

Sedosolvin Syrup is used for: Symptomatic treatment of dry cough, nightime cough, allergic cough, smokers' cough, dry & hacking unproductive cough, cough with perennial & seasonal allergic rhinitis.

Adult Dose

Syrup Adult 10ml 3-4 times/day.

Child Dose

Child 5-10ml 3-4 times/day.

Mechanism of Action

Bromhexine is a mucolytic which thins and loosens mucus (phlegm), making it easier to cough out. Chlorpheniramine is an antiallergic which relieves allergy symptoms like runny nose, watery eyes and sneezing. Dextromethorphan is a cough suppressant that relieves cough by reducing the activity of cough centre in the brain.
