Indications
Sitcom Tablet is used for:
Treatment of hemorrhoids, symptomatic relief to patients of grade 3 & 4 hemorrhoids following hemorrhoidectomy.
Adult Dose
Oral
Tablet
Treatment of hemorrhoids:
1 tab (100mg) once daily for 14 days
Post hemorrhoidectomy settings in patients of grade 3 & 4 hemmorhoids:
1 tab (100mg) twice daily for 14 days
Child Dose
Renal Dose
Administration
Can be taken without regard to meals.
Contra Indications
History of hypersensitivity, bleeding disorders, pregnant and lactating mother.
Precautions
Should be used with caution when co administered with anti coagulant and anti platelet drugs.
Should be avoided in renal & hepatic dysfunction patients.
Pregnancy-Lactation
Interactions
No significant drug interactions have been reported.
Adverse Effects
Side effects of Euphorbia Prostata Extract :
generally well tolerated. Reported side effects are nausea, dyspepsia, abdominal pain, gastritis, diarrhea, dizziness, headache, contact dermatitis, dry mouth.
Mechanism of Action
Flavonoids and phenolic acids have been reported to have anti inflammatory, analgesic, antioxidant, hemostatic, anti thrombotic and vasoprotective actions.
Tannins are known to possess hemostatic properties.
