Indications

Uriliser Syrup is used for: Burning micturition, prevention of recurrence of urinary stones, post extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy & percutaneous nephrostolithotomy to prevent further stone formation from stone fragments.

Adult Dose

Syrup Usually 1-2 tsf 4 times a day after meals and at bedtime.

Administration

To help prevent diarrhea, take each dose after a meal. To prevent stomach upset/injury, mix your prescribed dose of medication in cold water or juice

Contra Indications

Should not be used in underactive adrenal gland (Addison's disease), severe heart disease (e.g., recent heart attack, heart damage), severe kidney disease (e.g., inability to make urine), potassium-restricted diet, high potassium levels, severe loss of body water (dehydration).

Precautions

Caution on low calcium levels, heart problems (e.g., irregular heartbeat, heart failure), kidney disease, stomach/gut problems (e.g., peptic ulcers, irritable bowel), diabetes, pregnancy and lactation.

Side effects of Citric Acid + Potassium citrate : Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and stomach pain may occur.

Mechanism of Action

- Citric acid and citrate salts (potassium and sodium) are urinary alkalinizers. - Uriliser Liquid make the urine less acidic. - Helps the kidney to get rid of uric acid, thereby prevent gout disease and kidney stones. - Also, prevent and treat certain metabolic problems (acidosis) caused by kidney disease.
