Indications
WINSKIN Cream is used for:
Pruritus, Insect bites, Rashes, Allergic skin conditions, Mild sunburn, Minor skin irritations, Cuts or scrapes
Adult Dose
Adults: Apply to the affected area 3 to 4 times daily.
Child Dose
Children above 2 years: Apply to the affected area 3 to 4 times daily.
Renal Dose
Administration
Before application, the skin should be clean, cool and dry. Should not have a hot shower or bath before applying.
Apply the cream lightly on the skin until the cream disappears. It is important to include all skin surfaces, such as between the fingers and toes, under the nails and on the soles of the feet.
Contra Indications
Contraindicated in individuals with a known allergy to its components, other pyrethroids or pyrethrins.
Precautions
For external use only. Flammable, keep away from fire or flame.
Do not use on large areas of the body with any other product containing diphenhydramine, even once taken by mouth. When using this product, avoid contact of eyes.
Pregnancy-Lactation
Interactions
Masks ototoxicity produced by aminoglycosides. Increases gastric degradation of levodopa and decreases its absorption by reduction of gastric emptying. Antagonises therapeutic effects of cholinergic agents e.g. tacrine, donezepil and neuroleptics. Valerian, St. John's wort, Kava Kava and gotu kola may increase CNS depression.
Potentially Fatal: Potentiates CNS depression with alcohol, barbiturates, analgesics, sedatives and neuroleptics. Additive antimuscarinic action with MAOIs, atropine and TCAs.
Adverse Effects
Side effects of Diphenhydramine Hydrochloride 2% + Zinc Acetate 0.1% Topical :
Skin rash, Urticaria, Photosensitivity
Mechanism of Action
Diphenhydramine blocks histamine H1-receptors on effector cells of the GI tract, blood vessels and respiratory tract. It also causes sedation and has some anticholinergic action.
Zinc Acetate cofactor in over 100 enzymes; plays a role in DNA synthesis; supports a healthy immune system; helps maintain a sense of smell and taste; may assist in porper function of insulin.
