Cetrimide 1% Topical is used for:
Used for the treatment of scabies and pediculosis.
Adult Dose
Topical/Cutaneous
Pediculosis
Adult: Apply solution onto the scalp, wash with water and rinse.
Scabies
Adult: Apply onto affected area.
Child Dose

Contra Indications
Hypersensitivity; contact with eyes, brain, meninges and middle ear; use in body cavities or as an enema.
Precautions
Prolonged usage may increase risk of hypersensitivity reactions. To be used externally only.

Mechanism of Action
Cetrimide has actions and uses typical of cationic surfactants which dissociates in aqueous soln into a smaller inactive anion and into a large and complex cation responsible for the surface activity.
