Mechanism of Action

This is an activator of cellular biosynthesis that favors the anabolic phase and tissue-repairing. The presence of nucleotides like PDRNs and NADPH, facilitates the anti-inflammatory and wound healing actions as well. Wound healing is rather by reorganization than regeneration Placentrex facilitates Nitric Oxide (NO) mediated wound healing and repair, helps to kill bacteria, has debridement action on necrotic tissue, causes cellular migration, promotes new blood vessel formation, increases collagen deposits, dilatation of blood vessels , thus increases the viability of skin flaps. Fibronectin type III is involved in cell adhesion. It also stabilizes trypsin which is responsible for the debridement of wound.Ubiquitin like peptide in Placentrex has collagenase like action breaking down faulty collagen. This property is essential for the remodeling phase of wound healing. The drug also enhances body immunity.
