Desonide 0.05% Topical

Indications

Desonide 0.05% Topical is used for: Psoriasis, Eczema, Contact dermatitis, Corticosteroid-responsive dermatoses, Seborrheic dermatitis

Adult Dose

Topical/Cutaneous Corticosteroid-responsive dermatoses Adult: Apply sparingly onto the affected areas 2-4 times/day. Discontinue therapy when control is achieved.

Contra Indications

Hypersensitivity to any of the components. Primary infective skin conditions.

Precautions

Caution when using in paed patients. Evaluate periodically for evidence of HPA-axis suppression. In the event of secondary infections use appropriate antibiotics and discontinue topical steroid. Pregnancy and lactation. Lactation: excretion in milk unknown; use with caution

Side effects of Desonide 0.05% Topical : Burning, itching, irritation, scaling, folliculitis, hypertrichosis, contact dermatitis, skin peeling, transient erythema. Skin atrophy, Striae, Acneform lesions, Pigmentation changes
