Mechanism of Action

Clobetasol is a very potent corticosteroid used in short-term treatment of various inflammatory skin conditions. Gentamicin interferes w/ bacterial protein synthesis by binding to 30S and 50S ribosomal subunits resulting in a defective bacterial cell membrane. Miconazole inhibits ergosterol synthesis thus damaging fungal cell wall membrane and increases its permeability, allowing leakage of nutrients.
